Ordinances

Curfew

Curfew for minors age 13 and under is 10pm.
unless accompanied by a parent, guardian,
or other adult person having care & custody of said minor.

Curfew for minors age 14-17 is 11pm unless
accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other adult person
having care & custody of said minor.

City of Washburn Winter parking regulations

November 1 through April 1

BAYFIELD STREET - No parking on either side of street 2 AM - 7 AM Daily

ALL OTHER STREETS - 24 hour odd/even calendar day parking.
Parking is only permitted on the even address side of street or avenue
on even calendar days.
Parking is only permitted on the odd side of the street or avenue
on odd calendar days.

Snowmobile & ATV laws and information

Speed limit;  10mph within city limits.

Hours of operation;  No operation between the hours of 2am-6am
except when returning home via the most direct routes.

Routes; Maps of designated snowmobile and ATV routes within the city limits
are available at the Washburn Police Department.
Operation of snowmobiles and ATV's on city sidewalks,
or the median area between sidewalks and the road edge is prohibited.
Operation of snowmobiles in any city park is prohibited.

Equipment;  Any muffler other than the type originally provided by
the manufacturer is illegal for use in the City of Washburn.
Snowmobiles & ATV's must display a working headlight & taillight at all times.

Misc. regulations;  Snowmobiles & ATV's must yield
to all pedestrian & vehicular traffic.
Must operate on the extreme right of the roadway.
Persons under the age of 18 must wear a helmet.
Persons under the age of 18 may not carry passengers.
Must be 14 or older to operate an ATV, and possess a valid ATV safety certificate,
or be accompanied by an adult.
Persons under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
